Below are the salient features of our LL.B. (Hons.) Degree.
Course Design
Duration
The duration of the LL.B. course is three years, each year consisting of three trimesters.
The courses are divided into Foundation and Upper Level Electives.
- Foundation Courses are offered in Year I, II, and III
- Upper Level Electives are offered in Year II and III
According to duration, the courses are divided into:
- Half courses, which cover a time duration of a trimester or two
- Full courses, which cover a time duration of three trimesters.

Trimester System
A year is divided into the following trimesters:
- Fall (October-December)
- Winter (January-March)
- Spring (April-June)
Student Load
- Year I: 6 Foundation Courses
- Year II: 7 Foundation Courses + 2 Upper Level Electives
- Year III: 7 Foundation Courses + 3 Upper Level Electives
Credits
A subject is divided into credits depending on the teaching and study hours and importance to the LL.B (Honours) program.
Upon obtaining a passing grade, the student receives the due credits allocated to the subject.
A pass grade in all the subjects per academic year will earn the student approximately 120 credits.

Along with delivering lectures, the following methods and activities are also applied and conducted in order to enhance the skills of the students:

Grading Policy
Distribution of grades is done in the following manner

Evaluation
70% of the trimester grade depends on the written examination and 30% on class participation, assignments, presentations, quizzes, class attendance, etc.
The class teacher and an outside evaluator evaluate the written exam.
Students receive grade sheets in each trimester and a final grade sheet at the end of each academic year.
A student must obtain a minimum of 80 credits per year to be considered for supplementary examination for making up a course in which he failed.
