Guest Speaker Session on Marketing

Mr. Basharat Ullah Malik organized a guest speaker session with Mr. Hassan Chaudhry, CEO of Rims & Rings Tyres, for BBA students enrolled in ‘Fundamentals of Marketing’ classes. The guest, having past experiences as Operations Manager, London Railways (LORAL) and Marketing Team Lead, First Gulf Bank, UAE, shared useful insights from his professional career that could help students shape their career plans for future. He also highlighted the scientific principles of marketing which he considered while initiating his personal business and the way these principles got tested in real life. Hassan shared with the students that many a times theoretically correct solutions to problems might get a beating in practice and therefore adaptability remained the key for enterprising entrepreneurs. He explained his efforts from idea generation to achieving comfortable financial position. His account of initial marketing strategy of targeting corporate sector to sell tyres, giving him immediate returns, remained the highlight of this talk.

Students were all involved and came out with intriguing questions and got practical answers suitable for contemporary milieu.
