The course focuses on current theories of Language Testing within contemporary Applied Linguistics, and will provide students with essential knowledge and practical skills in the area of language test design and administration, and evaluation of language proficiency. The course is a survey of issues in language
testing and assessment, designed to introduce the student to underlying principles of language
testing and assessment and to provide experience in critiquing and developing second
language classroom test and assessment materials.
