Adnan Ghafoor


Adnan Ghafoor received his BS degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Arid Agriculture, Rawalpindi in 2006 and MS degree in Electronic Engineering from International Islamic University, Islamabad in 2010. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering from Internation Islamic University. His research interest includes Reconfigurable Asynchronous Adaptive Processing and hardware realization of complex Image processing and communication algorithms.

PhD Research Thesis
Title: “Delay-Adaptation in FPGA Based Asynchronous Micro-pipeline Architectures
Asynchronous Micro-pipeline implementation requires delay models. Adaptive delay models implementation is a challenge due to the hardness of timing control as logic mapping and routing is totally tools dependent. An adaptive delay element is to be proposed that adapts the wire and logic delays of underlying FPGA device hence making the design delay-adaptive and FPGA technology independent.
MS Research Thesis
Title: “Reconfigurable True Color Dedicated Image Processor
Designed and implemented instruction set based dedicated image processor that performs various ALU and Convolution operations on the images.
