1.      Comparison of Least Mean Square Based Techniques for Spur Cancellation in Fractional N Frequency Synthesizer
Collaborators: Dr. Muhammad Sarwar Ehsan

Description: This work presents the LMS based adaptive filtering methodology for spur noise reduction in digital fractional N frequency synthesizer and investigates the noise performance response of the system against different variants of LMS algorithm.
2.      A Non-Intrusive Virtual DSP Instrument for Diagnosis Based on Human Radial Pulse
Collaborators: Dr. Muhammad Farooq Aslam

Description: In this research work pulse samples were simultaneously collected from 12 positions on left and right wrists and processed in LabView for FFT analysis to obtain energy spectrum of each sample. The comparison of the Z-weights and the energy ratio of the pulse samples at 12 different positons on both wrists indicates that the Z-Weights give more rational results.
3.      Design of Ball and a Plate System (Trainer for Linear Control Systems Laboratory)
Description: This trainer employs a ball and a plate system. This is a system which continuously monitors the position of a ball onto a flat plate and move the plate in such a way that ball remains on a specified reference position. This trainer provides real time monitoring of the system to be controlled and GUI based environment to visualize current sensor readings, actuators commands along with control errors.
4.      Sorting and Filling Using Omni Conveyor Deck
Description: In this project a conveyor belt is used at the start for delivering the objects. In this belt camera, transmitter, receiver and conical baffle will be fixed. Camera is used to detect the shape and the transmitter and receiver will determine the size of object and the products will be filled according to shape and size using conical baffle. After filling of objects the object will transfer to omni-conveyor deck in which object will be sorted.
5.      Multi-agent Robotic System
Description: This project aims at utilizing the coordination of homogeneous terrestrial robots in swarm to maintain specific formations. The robots in group have to avoid collisions with the surroundings and among themselves, thereby maintaining a specific formation. The system exploits Master-Slave topology in which there are total three robots, one acting as the master and the other two behave as slaves.
6.      A Hybrid Technique to Harvest Maximum Power from PV Systems
Description: This research work is based on a new hybrid technique by using two commonly used techniques for MPPT problems. The whole algorithm is divided into two stages. Stage-1 works under uniform irradiance condition, so it used a simple Incremental Conductance (InC) technique with variable step size capability. While stage-2 works under partial shading condition. At this stage a simple InC technique fails to detect the Global Maxima (GM). So, a hybrid mechanism works, initially it use Fractional Open Circuit Voltage (FOCV) technique in order to detect GM region. Once the GM region is achieved the variable step sized incremental conductance technique can easily detect the Maximum Power Point (MPP).
