Irfana Umer is doing her PhD in Leadership and Management from University of Management and Technology (Education Department). She has over 14 years of experience in Administration and Teaching at reputed institutes like University of Central Punjab, SKANS, Punjab Group of Colleges, University of Management and Technology and Allama Iqbal Open University. She is currently working as Directrice, Center for English Language, in the Faculty of Information and Technology at UCP since June, 2016.  She has been helpful in the advancement of the organization with developing and deploying various initiatives, Automation of English Language Teaching and English Language Lab being the foremost among these, at the Centre for English Language (Faculty of Information and Technology). She has also worked as a content developer for all English courses, at BCS level, which remodeled the language learning design on Learning and Management System (LMS). Moreover, being Directrice of the Department, she has a vast experience in training the instructors for maximum output of the organizational goals and objectives.
Her major research areas are epistemological access to higher education, role of ICT in motivating English language learners in ESL classroom at university level, and role of non-verbal communication in teaching-learning process of English.
