Ms Fouzia Awan holds the position of senior lecture at the UCP since February 2013. She has completed M.Phil degree in Economics; her areas of research interest are Economic Growth & Development, Labor Economics, and Economics of Education. She is teaching different courses in the Department of Economics and has been a course coordinator for economics programs. She has organized and facilitated events like roundtable discussions, guest seminars, career fairs and social events as the patron of the society, “Young Economists Forum”.Ms Fouzia Awan has presented her research papers in international academic conferences in the US and Singapore, which were funded by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan.She has publications in international journals. She has hands on experience of different software packages, which she uses in her empirical research. She has also undertaken various special assignments including updating & editing of Textbooks, conducting workshops for training professional teachers and organizing Math Olympiads in order to stimulate problem solving skills in the students.

  • August 2005, Conducted a four-hour session on ‘Basic economic concepts’ for Association of Social Studies Educators and Teachers (ASSET), which is supported by AKU-IED Karachi,
