Prof. Dr. Ghulam Shabir has 40 years long teaching, research and professional experience in the field of Mass Communication and Media Industry. He did his masters in Mass Communication from University of the Punjab, Lahore and received Ph.D. from the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Prof. Ghulam Shabir did his post doctorate from University of Surrey, UK. He served two public sector Universities on various positions for 31 years. During this span of time, he fulfilled the responsibility of Chairman of Department of Mass Communication of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. He also served at the Bahauddin Zakaria University, Multan as a Professor and Chairman Department of Communication Studies. Moreover, he has served in BNU as a Professor for over a year. He has 94 national and international HEC recognized publications on his credit and twelve students have been awarded Ph.D. degree under his supervision.
