professor

Dr. Rashid Ahmad Khan earned his Masters and Ph D degrees (Political Science) from the University of Punjab, Lahore. Currently he is working as Professor and Head of Department, School of Politics and International Relations, University of Central Punjab, Lahore. Previously he worked as Professor and Chairman, Department of Political Science, University of the Punjab, Lahore (1971-2001; Senior Research Fellow, Islamabad Policy Research Institute (IPRI), Islamabad (2002-2010) and Professor and Chairman, Department of International Relations and Political Science, University of Sargodha (2010-2016). Dr. Khan has published about 50 research papers in local and foreign professional journals and is author of three books. He specializes on South Asian, Indian Ocean and Persian Gulf affairs. He has an extensive experience of interacting with foreign research centres and think tanks, including International Non-Government Organizations.

At UCP he is overseeing BS (International Relations) 4-Year Degree Programme and offering courses in Political Science.
