Dr. Zafar Saeed is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Information Technology, University and Central Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. He has more than ten years of working experience as Teaching Faculty, Research Associate, and Software Engineer. Dr. Zafar received his Ph.D. and M.Phil. degrees from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan. He has over four years of industry experience at national and international organizations performing hands-on tasks under Software Development, Project Management, Academic Research, and Social Development roles. He has one year of working experience with Data Science and Machine Intelligence (DSMI) Research Lab at Advanced Analytical Institute (AAI), University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia, where he was actively involved in research, teaching, and development activities. Dr. Zafar’s research interest includes Social Computing, particularly Social Network analysis, Social Media Analytics, Spammer & Bot Detection, Information Diffusion, Event Detection, Event Evolution, Text Mining, and Machine Learning. His research work has been published in highly reputed journals and conferences such as ESWA, CIM, JOGC, ECIR, and PAKDD.
