Zahid Mehmood Zahid is a political scientist with areas of expertise in International Relations & Contemporary Affairs, Political Islam, Afghan Affairs, Terrorism, War on Terror, Identity Politics, Geo-politics of Religion, Militant Discourses, and Foreign Policy of Great Powers. He is a PhD –International Relations candidate (Dissertation Submitted) at National Defence University, Islamabad (NDU). He has been a ‘Research Fellow’ at the University of Maryland, USA, where he was part of the team that worked on the terror motivations. He brings with him perfect teaching and research experience on different areas of IR published by HEC recognized national and international journals. Zahid has also held administrative and other positions in numerous national and international organizations like HOPES, MCI, and ICRC. As ‘Research Officer’, he has designed, conducted, and supervised researches on CPEC and Radicalization; and as ‘Analyst’, he anchored a radio program at Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation. He has also been the recipient of HEC scholarships/awards thrice and part of the global conversation on issues of contemporary significance with his Op-ed writing that frequently appears in different newspapers in Pakistan.
