Closing ceremony of Teaching Excellence Programme: Batch 2 & 3

The closing ceremony of the Teaching Excellence Programme for batches 2 and 3 was conducted on Sep 28 in the Main Auditorium at UCP. Vice-Chancellor, University of Education, Dr Talat Naseer Pasha, attended this ceremony as Chief Guest. UCP Pro-Rector, Dr Nassar Ikram, Deans, HODs, trainers and training participants attended the ceremony. Chief Guest VC University of Education appreciated the remarkable efforts made in faculty development to elevate the academic delivery by applying modern teaching methods and pedagogies.

UCP Pro-Rector also mentioned other initiatives kick-started to support innovation and research culture. Head UCP gave a rundown of the programme and highlighted the achievements of respective teams and team leads in overall pursuit. Certificates were awarded to all the trainers and trainees. UCP Centre for Professional Excellence, which has recently been established for internal and external training, organized this training programme exclusively for all permanent faculty members. UCP trainers were trained during the last week of August by Master Trainers and professors who pioneered LUMS. They included Dr Arif Iqbal Rana, Dr Arif Zaman and Dr Arif Nazeer Butt. These elite professors are now also associated with Al Qadir University. Dr Zeeshan Ahmed, Dean Al Qadir University, also attended the TOT session previously. The programme has been rolled out in about three weeks across the university as part of Faculty Development.

UCP management has now made it a mandatory requirement for all the faculty members to qualify for this training program. UCP Centre for Professional Excellence would be managing this program accordingly.
