#IamUCP: Design of computational model of a novel vaccine against Covid-19

A team of researchers from the Faculty of Life Sciences at UCP, led by Dr. Muhammad Naveed, has designed a computational model of a novel vaccine against Covid-19. The computation model involves the latest computational approaches to increase the efficacy of available vaccines to become effective against multiple coronavirus strains. This research work has recently been published in the reputed Elsevier journal “Journal of infection and Public health” under the title “Design of a novel multiple epitope-based vaccine: An immunoinformatics approach to combat SARS-CoV-2 strains”. The team plans to continue further research work and share their current findings with the National Institute of Health (NIH), Islamabad, for collaborative work aimed at the possible development of an injectable vaccine using this model.

The UCP community congratulates Dr. Muhammad Naveed and his team for their research findings and wish them success in future strides.
