The Department of Psychology arranged a successful event named “Psychological Well-Being Camp” on 6th April, 2018 from 9:30AM to 3:30 PM. The students of MS Psychology organized the event under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Shazia Hasan (HOD, Psych. Dept.), Ms. Ayesha Kashif (Asst. Prof), Ms. Momina Nayyer (Lecturer), Ms. Rabia Yasmin (Research Associate), Ms. Lubna Kanwal (Lab Attendant) and Ms. Sabiha Dar (Research Associate). This event was not only informative but also beneficial for the visitors to have a better understanding of their mental health. The camp attracted not only numerous students but also a large number of faculty and staff members from different faculties, who gained a better understanding of different areas of Psychology. Two major domains, Testing and Counseling, were specially focused on and different psychological tests were administered on the topics of: Personality Assessment, Attachment, Anxiety, Depression, Self-Awareness, Self-Esteem, Internet or Selfie Addiction etc. A counseling center, with professional Clinical Psychologists, was also arranged and counseling was provided to those individuals who wanted to discuss their personal issues and get professional guidance. Around 400 individuals were registered for the assessment and counseling. The success of the event was truly marked by the opportunity to interact with professors and students from different departments, the attraction of individuals to the camp and their eager participation in different tests.
