The Entrepreneurship Club (TEC) under the supervision of patron, Ms. Amina Rizwan organized UCP –Entrepreneura. It was a 2 day inter-university business event comprising of 4 competitions including two case studies that made students step out their classroom and experience the real mechanisms of the business world.  Forty teams from different universities from all over Pakistan vied with one another to take the winning title.

The event started with the opening ceremony in which Dean Business School, Dr. Faisal Mustafa, incubation head Takhleeq Dr.Bilal Zafar the honorable pro-rector, Muhammad Nizamuddin, enlightened the participants with words of knowledge about the real market conditions and encouraged them to push their limits and acquire new skills through participating in competitions like these to test and improve their worth.

The first day started with a business idea competition where teams presented their unique business ideas and got productive feedbacks. Then, a finance-based competition took place ‘Bargainious’, in which finance specialized students implemented their financial skills to analyze a company’s portfolio given in a case study and gave recommendations. After this, a panel discussion took place where credible speakers threw light on the topic of our young graduates joining either family businesses or starting up their own. Furthermore, students engaged in a networking night and enjoyed the exchange of communication with them. The day was sealed with a comedy night where everyone received a good dose of laughter therapy.

The second day of this event started with an Ad’Mad competition where students gathered their marketing skills and executed them in ground smashing commercials. The participants were also given an hour of fun where they played a scavenger hunt and the winner received free movie tickets of universal cinemas. Next, came the HR-based competition ‘Guv’nor’ where our future HR managers presented their recruiting methods of hiring the best talents that would result in productive and efficient companies based on the scenario given in the case study. After the competitions came to a wrap, a second-panel discussion was set up on the emerging entrepreneurs of Pakistan, where new entrepreneurs shared their inspiring journeys. This was followed by the closing ceremony where prizes were distributed and the managing team was appreciated by Dean Business School Dr. Faisal Mustafa. The judges and panelists were also thanked for making the event great. The event was then finally sealed with a scrumptious dinner. Indeed, all teams took back with them good baggage of experience.
