B. Sc. Mechanical Engineering

The B.SC Mechanical Engineering is a program that is best fit for people whose strengths lie in math and science with interests in materials, robotics, design, high-performance machinery, manufacturing and mechanical operations. The B.SC Mechanical Engineering cultivates learning and problem-solving abilities needed to modify, develop and exercise responsible leadership through times of swift change.  Providing hands-on experience and co-operative training prepares the students to develop career opportunities as engineers.


Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering spans over 4 years with a total of 8 semesters, each of 18 weeks’ duration. Total numbers of courses to be studied during each degree program is 41-42 Program Requirements for BS (ME) Total Credits Hours: 134 for BS (CGPA Requirement for Degree: 2.00 or more). The minimum duration of B.Sc., ME program is 4 years and the maximum duration is 7 years.

Admission Criteria

At least 60% marks in F.Sc. (Pre-Engineering)/ A-Level* with (Maths, Physics & Chemistry) or DAE in Mechanical Technology or equivalent. Note*: A level student are required to submit IBCC equivalent. .

Note*: A-Level students will have to submit equivalence certificate issued by Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC), Islamabad.


The undergraduate program of Mechanical Engineering will enable its students to possess skills like innovative design, analysis and solution of complex engineering problems by the time they graduate. They will be able to demonstrate their knowledge for the development of society in an ethical and professional manner through effective communication and management skills. The graduates of this program would be able to serve in multidisciplinary teams in a broad range of industry, academia and research organizations in the local as well as international markets.
