Salient Achievements

  1. Chairman Doctorate Program Committee at University of Central Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan.
  2. Curriculum development of Doctor of Pharmacy degree program, later on adapted as such by Pharmacy Council of Pakistan.
  3. Launch of Faculty of Pharmacy at University of Central Punjab in 2010 having state of art laboratories equipped with highly sophisticated equipment.
  4. Up gradation of Department of Pharmacy, University of the Punjab, to University College of Pharmacy, University of the Punjab.
  5. Served as Founder Principal & Dean, University College of Pharmacy.
  6. Established state of the art Pharmaceutical Research Laboratories at University College of Pharmacy, University of the Punjab.
  7. Equipped the laboratories of University College of Pharmacy with highly sophisticated research equipment, same facilities are being used to date.
  8. Development of Computer Laboratories equipped with Online Research Data Base for promoting the research trend in youth.
  9. Establishment of state of the art Iqbal Gallery at University College of Pharmacy.
  10. Throughout working tenure, always remained active in organizing Scientific Competitions, Industrial Exhibitions, International Conferences, Patient’s awareness Programs, Disease Awareness Campaigns/Walks and many more at National & International level.
  11. Supervised more than 100 M. Phil/PhD students in the discipline of Pharmacy.
  12. Served as member of Drug Registration and Drug Licensing Boards at Ministry of Health, Islamabad.

CONFERENCES/SEMINARS/ WORKSHOPS

  1. 4th August, 2016: Organized an International Seminar at University of Central Punjab “Career Prospects for Pharmacists”. Speakers were invited from Canada, USA and China to share their insight about the theme.
  2. 17th July, 2016: Organized an International Workshop at University of Central Punjab “Patient Care in Community Pharmacy”, speakers were invited from Canada to share their insight about the theme. Event was concluded with panel discussion session comprising of experts from all segment of pharmacy.
  3. December 13, 2015: Organized a seminar in Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Central Punjab on the eve of “World Patient Safety Day”.
  4. December 23, 2015: Organized one-day workshop entitled “Screening of Investigational Substances” in University of Central Punjab for research scholars of UCP and other institutes. The main contents of the research workshop were:
    1. Blind Screening of Investigational Substances
    2. Programmed Screening
    3. Animal Handling during research
  5. November 21, 2015: Moderated a workshop regarding protocol development of clinical trials, budgeting, informed consent, and constitution of ethical committee. Participants were engaged effectively in real time scenario based studies and were informed about the un-ethical practices adopted by different pharmaceutical industries in recent past and the penalties made to them.
  6. November 13-14, 2015: Organized a training module regarding bioequivalence study protocols in PPA House. In this training session, M. Phil research scholars of UCP, quality assurance managers, production managers and R&D officers from different pharmaceutical industries participated. It was hand on practice based training module. Training module was highly appreciated by the participants for moving towards planning and conducting of bioequivalence studies.
  7. August 29, 2015: Organized a training session for M. Phil & Pharm.D students for developing skills regarding use of inventory management software. Usage of different software tools like Abuzar and Burraq was discussed with the participants. It was indeed a capacity building program.
  8. May 17, 2015: Organized a seminar on the eve of “World Hypertension Day (WHD)” with basic aim to highlight the preventable stroke, heart and kidney diseases caused by high blood pressure and to communicate the public regarding information on prevention detection and treatment.
