UCP Student Council & Ushers Club organized a colorful & exuberant Cultural Carnival on 20th and 21st May’17. The audience was mesmerized by Asif Ali khan Santoo’s spellbounding performance, danced on the beats of Papu Saen’s dhol, enjoyed the vivacious singing of Kashif Ali & swayed on the rhythms of DJ SomeWhatSuper. To represent Pakistan’s cultural diversity, students were dressed up in traditional attires and installed various related stalls.
First day comprised of Grand Opening Ceremony, Opening Speech by Prof. tahir Ashfaq, Director Student Affairs, Horse Dances, Signing Performance by Plektra and Qawali Night by Asif Ali Khan Santoo while 2nd Day comprised Live performance of Papu Saen Dholiya, Kashif Ali, Coke Studio Singer, Cultural Dances by Dramatics Club, Cultural Walks by Nisa Society and DJ Night by SomeWhatSuper and Cultural Festivity. Students setup pavilions, displayed ethnic attire and apparel, presented cultural cuisines, and regional music and dances from the diverse provinces of the country.
Students established various stalls and pavilions to manifest the cherished culture of Pakistan. Students were dressed in cultural attires representing the cultural diversity of Pakistan. Cash Prizes were also distributed to the Best Decorated Stall and Best Dressed Male and Female students. Faculty members and students actively participated in the cultural festivities. The event was attended by Guests from Corporate Sectors, Media and different strata of life.
