Dr. Aatif Amin obtained PhD, Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan with pre-doc experience at University of California, San Diego (UCSD), USA. His area of research is Environmental Microbiology/Biotechnology with expertise in cloning, expression, isotope labeling, purification and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) studies of microbial transmembrane proteins. Currently, he is investigating heavy metal resistant bacterial consortia for bioremediation and growth improvements of various economically important cash crops i.e. wheat, mung bean, chickpea, lentil etc. He has 12 publications in peer reviewed journals and many conference papers are also on his credit.
